Public wifi

As part of the Super-Connected cities programme the UK government has announced the introduction of free WiFi in some of the major cities in the UK.

Over the upcoming months it is expected that public buildings (libraries, museums, civic centres and business centres) will have free hotspots. The first city to enjoy those benefits will be Cardiff (Wales) but the following cities will also join the programme: Aberdeen, Belfast, Brighton & Hove, Birmingham, Cambridge, Derby, Derry, Edinburgh, Leeds/Bradford, London, Manchester, Oxford, Perth, Portsmouth and Salford.
